Rosh Hashanah 2008

Apple%20in%20Honey2.jpg
As the Month of Elul (אֱלוּל) (The Jewish month that falls on August-September) has just begun, we all just started preparing for Rosh Hashanah, the kitchen is already crowded with all types of food to celebrate the new year. Mommy is cooking a delicious roast with that delicious smell wafting into our noses, the little ones are busy baking honey cookies, etc.

We all know of the custom of Dipping the apple into honey which is to symbolize a prosperous and sweet year like honey for the entire Jewish Nation which is compared to an Apple. So as the years passed, it became customary to send Shana Tova wishes through Honey Jar Gifts with a 'Shana Tova' greeting attached to it. We at Oh! Nuts offer the largest selection Honey Jar Gifts and Rosh Hashanah Gift Baskets that will make your beloved one's holiday a pleasure.

It is also customary to eat pomegranates, figs, dates, carrots, apples and lots more according to each individual's traditions.
