Great Nut Flour
by MOMom from on 1/26/2023
Of course this is perishable….it is made from NUTS!! Nuts are perishable due to their oil content. Store in fridge or freezer if you don’t plan on using right away or if you live in a hot climate. Also, “nut meat” IS ground nuts or nuts that are pounded/chopped extremely fine. This product is one type of “nut meat” used/made by our mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmas.

Best Almond Flour I've Used
by Nickie from Berea, Ky. on 2/21/2017
I've recently started a lower carb lifestyle. I used this flour to make a low carb biscuit recipe I found on Pinterest. It's so finely ground I honestly would not have believed it was almond flour had I not made the recipe myself. The biscuits turned out deliciously. My co-worker said they were better than regular biscuits!

I would use this again!
by Carol from on 2/10/2015
I was unable to find almond flour in any of the stores in our city and was very glad to find it here when I was ordering candy for a shower. The cake recipe called for almond flour and I used regular flour since I had been unable to locate almond flour anywhere around here. When I finally did locate the flour on this site, I ordered it. When I made the cake with the almond flour, it made all the difference in the taste. Will keep some on hand and plan to try it in some "almond sugar cookies" I have been wanting to try.

See why I buy 10 pounds at a time...
by Mom of 3 WV from charleston, wv on 2/26/2012
The cookies I make with this flour are really great for kids: I use two packages of this flour, about a cup of flax seeds, vanilla extract, a teaspoon of salt, a little baking soda, a cup of unbleached regular flour, stevia, around three quarters of a cup of vanilla, 3 or four sticks of organic unsalted butter and either dark chololate chips or heath bits, a half a cup of molasses (and/or 3/4 cup brown suger) four eggs and I let my kids really think they are getting away with something. Sometimes I throw in pecan meal or walnuts. I get extra sleep sometimes and I do much less cooking and my kids LOVE these cookies made with the almound flour primarily. When they see them on the table, they think they are really getting away with something. They freeze great, but even in gigantic batches, they do not last long. It's cheaper than in the store by far. The flour freezes great and you can reuse the packets too.

Perfect!
by Workingirl from Indiana on 1/7/2012
I follow the SCD diet to manage Crohn's. Almond flour is the number one ingredient in my baked and snack items. I buy almond flour in large quantities and find that it stores well in the freezer. Finding 'Oh Nuts' was and is a blessing to me.

Gluten Free!!
by ElfQueenZ from Little Rock AR on 11/18/2011
Almond flour is an imporant item in my pantry as I have to eat gluten free. It lends itself great for fine muffins, breads and other backed goods. I also use it to coat chicken and pork for a devine crust which is totaly gluten free and has a wonderul nutty taste. Be creative, give it a try. It is absolutely healthy

High Quality Product
by Gramma from Seaford, NY on 9/2/2011
I follow the Specific Carbohydrate Diet which is grain-free. I have to blanch the nuts, roast, and peel them to make muffins, which is tedious and time-consuming. The blanched almonds from Oh!Nuts are a great time-saver for me, but the best thing is that they are fresh, fluffy, and produce an excellent muffin. I love this product.

Thank You!!
by Workingirl from Indiana on 8/26/2011
Started following the carbohydrate specific diet for crohn's sufferers 2 months ago. Since I cannot have any grain flours, almond flour is my answer for making banana bread, carrot cake, and zucchini bread. Your flour arrived at my house was fresh, and has a finer grind than other brands I have tried.

by J. Paleo from OKC, OK on 4/6/2011
I tried making my own almond flour with a processor, but couldn't get the meal to come out fine enough. I bought this hoping it would be what I was looking for, and I wasn't disappointed. This almond flour is a must have for all paleos out there!

Almond Flour Success!
by fauxmartha from oak park, il on 3/31/2011
I made some tasty little almond tarts with the almond flour. Next up, I'm making macaroons for the first time. The almond flour is great in that it saves you time from blanching, peeling the skins off, and grinding the almonds to make it yourself. Huge timesaver and no taste lost in the process!

I will buy this again!

Because it's very fine ground and blanched, this almond flour makes perfect replacement for wheat flour in home baked muffins. Only drawback is that it's very expensive, especially with shipping.

Great for low carb/no gluten recipes
by Audra from Poughkeepsie, NY on 6/13/2010
Its consistency (and thus applications) are much like corn meal, so can be used in breads, coatings, crusts, etc.

almond flour
by the diabetes educator from New jERSEY on 5/9/2010
very healthy. As a diabetes educator, I am always advising my patients to increase their protein in their diet and this is great food for that. Easy for people to sprinkle almond meal on cereals and any baking that they may do.Hard to find 100% pure almond powder like this. I myself have been using it for few years since as a vegetarian I want to make sure I get enough protein in my diet everyday.

Great for those on the scd diet
by Tracy the scd-er from NH on 3/31/2010
I use the almond flour for baked goods, homemade crackers, pizza crust and chicken/fish coatings as we are on the scd (specific carbohydrate diet). It works very well in all of these dishes but the muffins, cookies and breads are the big hits! The almond flour comes in convenient zip lock bags (5lbs a bag) and it has a nice fine grind to it. This site had the best price around! Will definitely order again and again!

Great Product...a "staple" in my kitchen
by Mama Bear Teresa from Mountain View, Arkansas on 3/26/2010
In my effort to consume healther products and in keeping with a low-carb vegetarian lifestyle, I use this almond flour instead of white/bleached/table flour. It is great, mixes well, and adds nutty flavor/texture to your breads and pancakes.

Excellent for a low carb diet!

Mmm....
by Jenn from Washington DC on 1/22/2010
For those who are sensitive to sugars, starches or are low carb dieting, this almond flour works very well as a flour substitue. I've only tried it in muffins so far, but hope to try other types of baked goods as well. I can imagine it would make a killer "breading" for chicken or fish.

Almond Flour???
by DMV from Boston, MA on 12/20/2009
Almond Flour? That's what my Mom said. We always use pecan "nut meat". but we can't find it anymore. I bought this and hoped for the best. Well, guess what? My family tradition pecan cookies were great with the almond flour. Whoda thunk. Goes to show, sometimes you need to think outside the box.
