Great for those on the scd diet
by Tracy the scd-er from NH on 3/31/2010
I use the almond flour for baked goods, homemade crackers, pizza crust and chicken/fish coatings as we are on the scd (specific carbohydrate diet). It works very well in all of these dishes but the muffins, cookies and breads are the big hits! The almond flour comes in convenient zip lock bags (5lbs a bag) and it has a nice fine grind to it. This site had the best price around! Will definitely order again and again!
Great Product...a "staple" in my kitchen
by Mama Bear Teresa from Mountain View, Arkansas on 3/26/2010
In my effort to consume healther products and in keeping with a low-carb vegetarian lifestyle, I use this almond flour instead of white/bleached/table flour. It is great, mixes well, and adds nutty flavor/texture to your breads and pancakes.

Mmm....
by Jenn from Washington DC on 1/22/2010
For those who are sensitive to sugars, starches or are low carb dieting, this almond flour works very well as a flour substitue. I've only tried it in muffins so far, but hope to try other types of baked goods as well. I can imagine it would make a killer "breading" for chicken or fish.
Almond Flour???
by DMV from Boston, MA on 12/20/2009
Almond Flour? That's what my Mom said. We always use pecan "nut meat". but we can't find it anymore. I bought this and hoped for the best. Well, guess what? My family tradition pecan cookies were great with the almond flour. Whoda thunk. Goes to show, sometimes you need to think outside the box.

I am a lacto vegetarian. Almond meal powder is a very good protein source in my diet. I add a tablespoon every morning on my oatmeal. Boosts the nutritional value of my breakfast

almond flour
by the diabetes educator from New jERSEY on 5/9/2010
very healthy. As a diabetes educator, I am always advising my patients to increase their protein in their diet and this is great food for that. Easy for people to sprinkle almond meal on cereals and any baking that they may do.Hard to find 100% pure almond powder like this. I myself have been using it for few years since as a vegetarian I want to make sure I get enough protein in my diet everyday.
Perfect
by JLichtenberg from Phoenix on 6/15/2010
Because it's very fine ground and blanched, this almond flour makes perfect replacement for wheat flour in home baked muffins. Only drawback is that it's very expensive, especially with shipping.
Great for low carb/no gluten recipes
by Audra from Poughkeepsie, NY on 6/13/2010
Its consistency (and thus applications) are much like corn meal, so can be used in breads, coatings, crusts, etc.
Flour Almondine
by No Grains Please from Greeley, CO on 7/19/2010
Good for GF baked goods. Doesn't crumble easily like other GF products. High calorie - you don't have to eat a lot at one time.
Excellent Almond Flour
