Feed as treats to our macaws...we are picky about what we give them and the almonds in shells arrived fresh and flavorful!!!

I have multiple parrots, and I feed them a diet of pellets and veggies, as well as healthful "people food". But one always needs something to hold back, as a bribe, if you will, or a treat. Almonds are perfect for this. They LOVE them, the nutmeat is nutritious, and cracking the shells is tantamount to a hobby with them. The almonds I purchased here are much less expensive than those offered at parrot sites, and as it is the same thing, I can't see paying more than I have to. Just because I'm using these as a bribe doesn't mean that I should pay dearly.

My parrots love Raw Almonds in the shell. Most brands of parrot food only contain a few per bag (if any) . My parrots and I are happy that Oh! Nuts carry these hard to find nuts.

Sometimes one likes to have a bowl of nuts they can crack open at their leisure. Nuts in the shell are not available year-round (even with a huge almond grower industry here in CA) where I live so I had find another source. Oh! Nuts is it! Thanks so much!

I was looking for shelled nuts for my parrots. I have never been really happy with the nuts that I got from an online pet store and lately they were so bloated in price that I started shopping around. I'm very happy with these almonds and the walnuts and my parrot loves them. I've got you bookmarked now!

Book says almonds are so nutritious you can darned near live on 'em. 'Course I still like to have a beer now and then. I crack 10 of these sweethearts every night with a pair of channel locks. Want to live to be 100. So far so good.

These were the greatest improvement to almonds (which are already outstanding to begin with!) that I've seen. The other review made me laugh out loud. The shell is half missing, as the other reviewer noted, to make opening the shell a piece of cake. Since I wanted these for me and not squirrel training, I found them terrific. I could literally peel them open with my fingers. All of the freshness of in-the-shell with none of the difficulty shelling! GREAT IDEA! Sign me up for 4 more pounds!!
