Roasted Salted Turkish Siirt Pistachios

Certified Kosher Pareve under strict supervision of the OK laboratories. Certified Parve - Dairy Free
Grown in the Siirt province of Turkey, Siirt pistachios feature a rich, distinctive flavor that no other pistachio has to offer. They are bigger in size than the Antep pistachios, yet smaller than California-grown pistachios and are similar in taste to Iranian pistachios.

Flavotful
by DC DAN from Washington DC metro on 1/8/2012
Much better than the ones from California

a tough nut to crack
by Nutcracker from Columbus, Ohio on 1/6/2012
these are old-school pistachios from when i was a kid. they have a slightly different flavor than california-grown nuts. only problem was many of the nuts were barely split, so if you enjoy your teeth...beware. 4 stars is a good review, i would buy these again but will give the domestics a try next time.

Best Pistachios I have ever eaten. The Tail Gating just got better.

Easy to open..
by Mr. Squirrel the Nut from Boston MA on 10/7/2011
These nuts were easy to open. Not quite as 'nutty' tasting as the smaller versions of Turkish nuts but still worth the money.

Turkish Siirt Pistachios
by Slick from Bayville, NJ on 8/11/2011
The best, no other pistachios can compare. I'll never buy the California ones again

How different!
by NutFreak from California on 8/9/2011
This is the first time I have purchased these type of pistachios, and I have to say I am pleased. These have a unique light crispy texture that is much different from California pistachios. They are indeed harder to open, but there is a very low percentage of uncracked shells, so it is not much of a concern. I will definitely buy these again.

Good quality
by Mona from Duluth, MN on 7/9/2011
The product quality and freshness are very good, I am giving it 4 stars just because I favored the Antep one over this one.

Tastes Great...Less Filling
by Roc on from Baltimore, Maryland on 7/7/2011
These nuts tasted great. Much better than the California nuts. I will be buying more of these.

Simply delicious!

Turkish Pistachios - Siirt
by Skip from Cape Coral, Florida on 12/16/2010
In the seventies I used to buy and devour large quantities of the Shaw of Iran pistachios. They were large and had the best flavor. Then I couldn't get them anymore so for years I was forced to choke down the tasteless California pistachios. Then one day I stumbled across the Turkish Pistachios which come from Antep and Siirt. The taste seems to be about the same but the Siirt ones are much larger so I prefer them to the smaller ones from Antep. The bad news is that because the Siirt ones are in fact larger I tend to go through them much faster than I did with the Antep ones. I have read several reviews complaining about the Turkish pistachios being hard to open. All I can say is that it is what it is. You either buy the easy-to-open tasteless ones from California or you buy the Turkish ones that taste like pistachios. I personally use a stubby flat blade screwdriver to open the difficult ones (which will open about 99% of them) and a small pair of pliers opens the rest. As far as the Oh! Nuts company is concerned I found them to be excellent. the nuts are nice and fresh. The amount of salt is also just fine with me. It is smart to keep these in the refrigerator after you get them to just keep them really fresh. I would highly recommend both the Oh! Nuts company and the product.

These are the best Turkish nuts around. I always share them with my friends for their enjoyment and pleasure.

Simply the Best
by The Nutty Professor from Phila, PA on 10/28/2010
These are probably as close as you can get to perfection in this catagory. Once you taste these beauties, you may never go back to eating dull California pistachios again.

Excellent flavor
by Jack from New jersey on 10/5/2010
Not as big as California nuts-but-much fuller flavor.

UNBELIEVABLE!
by Dor from CT on 9/21/2010
These are by far the best pistachios out there. I tasted them all and these are the best. If you are a pistachio lover these are the ones for you. They have an intense flavor, creamy, sweet, just enough salt, just perfect. Great healthy snack for the whole family. Try them!

Fantastic flavor, my favorite variety.
by Ange from St. Louis, MO on 9/20/2010
For those of you who remember the Iranian pistachios of yesteryear, these come the closest to their wonderful taste without the red fingertips and blood pressure raising amounts of salt. I think they edge out the Antep in flavor.

Best Turkish pistachios. Most frugal too!

Excellent flavor...use pliers to open!
by Mistamatic from Seattle, WA on 6/9/2008
The website description of the flavor of these pistachios is dead-on...they are the cadillac of the pistachio world. I just keep a nice handy pair of pliers nearby to help get them cracked. :O)
