Hamantaschen - Purim Cookies
Hamantashen - The three-cornered filled pastries are a great Purim Hamantaschen treat. The Jewish traditional filling is made with poppy seeds, but they are also made with many different flavors. Our variety includes Chocolate Hamantaschen and Fruit flavors - Apricot Hamentashen, Prunes and Raspberry Hamantaschen.

Hamentashen Recipe
Purim Hamantaschen is easy-to-make and is simply delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs
1/2 a cup oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
3 cups flour
fruit jam - you can use cherry, raspberry, prune (lekvar) or apricot.
You can also use poppy seed butter (mohn)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix all the ingredients together in electric mixer.
2. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into circles using a round cutter
or the top of a glass/cup.
3. Place 1 1/2 teaspoons filling in the center of each circle of dough.
4. Pull up sides and pinch three corners together to form a triangular cookie
with filling showing.
5. Bake on greased cookie sheets for approximately 30 minutes at 350 degrees
Fahrenheit.
The recipe makes approximately 36 Hamantashen.
