Disappeared Before I Even Got to Try One!
by Malka from Indiana on 4/25/2016
The citron was super popular at our seder! One bag contains a very generous amount of fruit, but next year, I will be buying TWO bags! (That way, maybe I will get to taste it, too!)

Succulent, Fragrant, Delicious
by ESCinVA from Norfolk, VA on 2/27/2012
We ordered these with a batch of dried fruits around Tu B'Shvat, usd it for part of Shabbos dessert. Yum! All the fruits were delicious, but this was the best. We absolutely intend to order it again, loved it. Not really a drawback, but if sticky is hard to deal with, use gloves or a fork to handle.

A special food, filled with childhood memories of the Mediterranean culture.

A Taste of Childhood
by Pameladragon from Appomattox, VA on 9/26/2011
As a child, my favorite after school treat was a chunk of preserved citron, cut from a huge piece kept in a large caning jar. Citron has a delicate, unique flavor and adds special appeal to fruit cakes and steamed puddings. This citron is soft enough to chop easily for cooking but still holds it shape. Be sure to remove the seeds before chopping.

Delicious!!
by David A. from New Haven, CT on 2/1/2011
I have been looking for somewhere that sells Etrogs year round and was so excited to find them on your site! I ordered two packs for my recent Tu B'Shvat seder and all of my guests simply LOVED them! None of us had ever eaten an etrog before, so it was definitely an exotic and special treat, sweet and delicious! Was a concerned about the seeds, but it was not a big deal. It reminded me of the citrus candies we used to get for Passover as a kid. Have been snacking on them since! I would definitely recommend them to friends.

AMAZING!
by Cain from Belgrade MT on 1/2/2011
These are, quite frankly, amazing. I've never had anything similar in terms of dried fruit. The flavor reminds me of juniper berries, lemon, lime, orange, and a slight hint of clove all combined. I cannot sufficiently describe just how magnificent these slices are, they simply must be tried to understand just how wonderful they are. I now do not entertain the idea of ever again using "candied citrus peel" in my fruitcakes, as slices of etrog, once diced into small cubes, add a wonderful flavor without being too sweet or bitter in any way. The texture is similarly amazing, being chewy, firm but not too hard, and very fulfilling in terms of having something quick and healthy to eat. Quite simply, I intend to never be without a bag of etrog in my pantry, as there is nothing else I've tried that could ever replace these in cooking or for that certain special snack.

Just what I was looking for
by Marsea from Morgantown, WV on 11/23/2010
I like to use all natural ingredients in my cooking and finding natural citron seemed impossible. O! Nuts came to the rescue. Now I have real, flavorful citron to use in my grandmother's fruitcake and her plum pudding recipes. And what a difference it can make to use natural, tasty fruits in these desserts! All those artificially preserved fruits in the supermarket seem to taste the same. And citron has such a unique taste, you never want the flavor compromised by a preservative. Thanks for providing this, O! Nuts!

perfect for Sukkot treat
by ESL from New York, NY on 9/30/2010
I bought this on a whim, to provide a Sukkot-related treat for our synagogue onegs during the holiday. Most people thought of an etrog only as a ritual item, not as a real fruit or a treat. It was quite a conversation piece. The bag is very large and lasted all week for small onegs. The slices are sweet and a little sticky. Most slices have edible seeds. People who don't care for candied peels and such may not like it, but those who do like preserved citrus, or who just want to try something new, really enjoyed this discovery. For baking, this would add flavor and texture, but a lot of sweetness. The slices would have to be cut up, and the seeds taken off. Highly recommend as a Sukkot treat.

Dried Etrog/Citron
by Mystic from Louisiana on 2/9/2010
I have this 1800's period recipe for a Delicious Citron Pudding that calls for sliced citron and I have looked everywhere for a couple of years now and all I could find was diced citron. I was so happy when I found this site and they had sliced citron. I order one pound and tried it out in the pudding and everyone loved it. And when I say everyone I mean about 75 civil war re-enactors. Thanks, Oh! Nuts
