I initially purchased this product years ago to get my kids to eat more nuts. The attractive colors lured them to eat them and they got hooked. I needed 120 wedding favors for a small wedding. I wanted specific colors: light green, emerald green, light blue, navy blue, yellow.The description said "approximately 120 nuts per pound". I ordered one bag of each and a bag of mixed nuts for extras in the standard colors if I needed more. But I really didn't want to order more of the navy and emerald if I didn't need them. So I took a chance on maybe actually getting 120 in each bag. There were 10 or 12 more in each bag. Mission accomplished: we have beautiful wedding favors that match the wedding colors with nuts left over for me to snack on! I will be ordering from Oh!Nuts. again and again.

These are a flawless rendition of the classic Jordan almond. Not too sweet, just the right amount of crunch, not bitter or chalky in the slightest, and bright, strong colors.Candidly, these Jordan almonds make what I can purchase locally seem like chalky, bland, bitter shadows of what good almonds can be.If you're curious, I cannot emphasize this enough - the Jordan almonds here put all the store-bought almonds I've tried to shame, period. Unlike some of the store-bought brands, every last almond in my order had an intact candy shell, with a bright, even color, with no almond being bitter in the slightest.Better still, my notoriously picky daughter loves these through and through. When I had her try some run-of-the-mill almonds from a store locally, she complained that they were bitter and chalky, and that the candy shell was far too hard to chew through. With these, she had no such complaints, instead happily eating the few I gave her. For how picky she is, there's really no higher recommendation I can give!

Quality Control Issue--About 4 dozen of the Jordan Almonds were chipped and or cracked. My suggestion would be to put bubble wrap of some sort in the "inside" of the 5 lb. boxes of almonds to prevent this from happening.

Almonds have the highest protein content of any nut and are rich in fiber along with many other nutritional benefits. They also help lower cholesterol. I eat a handful of Jordan almonds along with a cup of coffee and I'm good for lunch. When I feel hungry, I eat a few Jordan almonds and I feel satisfied. I packaged these covered almonds in white chiffon little pull- string bags and then place them in a 2-3" little shiny white bag with silver handles and twp silver hearts with a small rinestone joining the hearts together. Everyone loved them and the nylon bag that held the almonds looked like tissue paper coming out of the bag. Hope this gives someone an idea for their daughter's Bridal Shower candy. The Mint Pastel Lentils were put in large champange glasses!

Jordan Almonds Are Food for the Gods

As my headline reads, Jordan almonds, whether multi colored or pure white, are so delicious and good for us that I consider them "Food for the Gods." In the past, I have purchased them from the supermarket, but those had a thick candy coating and were hard to bite into. The Jordan almonds that Oh Nuts sells are primo insofar as the candy coating is thin and flavorable, plus the almonds are strictly fresh and tasty.

I recently bought some Jordan almonds that had a name brand and the candy shell was so hard I could barely eat it and you could not taste the almond.
