Healthy Pomelos

Pomelos are healthy dried fruit choices as a snack, dessert or sauce. Pomelos are high in vitamins C and B6 and in magnesium and other good-for-you minerals and other nutrients.

These tropical treats from Southeast Asia are tasty additions to salsas, marinades and sauces. We have added just a small amount of sugar to our dried pomelos to enhance the fruit's natural sweetness and citrus flavor.

You'll find diced pomelos added to main dishes, baked desserts, candy and drinks. It's wonderful all by itself, too.

About Dried Pomelos:

  • Are dried pomelos healthy for you? Why yes, pomelos are healthy for you. They're rich in vitamins and minerals.
  • Do dried pomelos have added sugar? We have added small amounts of sugar to our dried pomelos to complement their citrusy sweetness.
  • How and how long should you store dried pomelos? The USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) advises storing dried fruits such as guava in the pantry for up to six months. After opening, your dried fruit can be stored in the refrigerator for another six months or placed in the freezer for one month to ensure highest quality.
  • How do you soften/reconstitute/rehydrate dried pomelos? Rehydrating fruit means softening with water. The fastest way is to boil water. Then soak the fruit, covered, in a bowl containing the boiled water for 10 to 15 minutes.

This is a few fruit for me. It has a wonder flavor of citrus but it's not tart. I will be buying this again.
