Windshield for a DeLorean

I make fanciful cakes for friends and family. My Church asked me to make a DeLorean cake as first prize for "Back to the Future"-themed road shows (short plays by the youth). What could I use as the windshield? I tried making candy glass for a Friday the 13th cake by boiling sugar and corn syrup, but it was tough. Then I found this candy. It is perfect to melt into a sheet 10" by 4" of clear, wrap-around windshield "glass". Ordering was easy, shipping was quick, and packaging was fine. Thanks!

Ingredients: Glucose syrup, sugar, acidulant: lactic acid, (E270). flavoring. Contains traces of soy. Made in Argentina.
