This is the best rock candy I have ever tasted, and I've had it all. This and the watermelon are exceptional. The crystals are so much easier to eat than strings, and are good for many decorative uses...

I actually got the candy as a gag birthday gift, but while repackaging it, I tasted it. Contrary to other rock candy I've had, this had a great, fresh flavor (usually, rock candy just tastes like sugar) that was really unexpected. I would totally buy it again - just to eat! It's also a really nice shade of blue, so I can see it would be good for favors at a wedding, baby shower, etc.

Could be a "pro" or a "con" : the color is not IN the sugar, it is coated. this is a con because it get on your hands, and could be a pro if you need to adjust the color to lighter, you could rub color off.

We filled up little clear boxes with the crystals, tied them with a ribbon and set them at each place setting. They gave a pop of color that was just right. It was nice the guests could just pop a little piece into their mouths without having to detach it from a string first. There was no mess involved at all. The only thing is that they started to stick together because the day was so hot and humid. I would recommend storing opened containers in a dry place.

As a Rock Candy fanatic, I can tell you that not all Rock Candy is the same. This stuff is king! The Small pieces are a pleasent change from the string style. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
