HOME MADE "HONEY CRISP" RED MINI HEARTS PRESSED CANDY APPLE SAUCE - **DELICIOUS** Recipe - 5 lbs. fresh apples - washed, quartered, removing seeds and stems (DO NOT REMOVE SKIN) 4 ounces "Red Mini Hearts" already spiced with sugar and cinnamon. 8 ounces reverse osmosis water Directions - Measure 4 ounces of the Red Mini Hearts Candy into 8 ounce cup and fill cup with water to the 8 ounce level. Heat up combined water and Red Mini Hearts for about 2 minutes...watching the syrup water to avoid hot syrup not boiling over by placing in large microwave bowl before heating up. Mix newly prepared red syrup with washed, seeded quartered apples in an 8x12 inch Pyrex or glass oval baking dish. Cover and bake at about 325 degree oven for about 90 minutes. Allow finished product to cool, re-absorb juices and mash together, gently breaking up the apple lumps. Refrigerate in individual plastic containers and you may freeze for future use. This is a delicious red colored, spicy apple sauce thanks to the delicious "Red Mini Hearts" added to the apples before baking. ENJOY - C H A R L E N E
