The price was good, but the taste was better. My wife had to soak them briefly in some warm water to soften them, but after that they were amazing.

I ordered 4 packages of the Sugar-Free Black Licorice Chews, and I was not disappointed. The flavor was obvious, and eating just one was out of the question. Consequently, all 4 bags were consumed solely by me within 2 1/2 weeks!!! It was worth it. With all of this said, there were a couple of negatives. As some reviewers said, the chews are chewy, and you will get some of the candy stuck to your teeth - this wasn't that big of a deal for me though. The biggest issue I have is the cost of shipping! I would have ordered more if the shipping charges had not been so extravagant; this might keep me from placing another order but maybe not. If you like black licorice, I know you will like these chews, but be ready to pay some shipping costs.

I love black licorice, but I'm a vegetarian so I won't eat anything containing gelatin. I'm so happy that I found this product which is low in fat and calories, lasts a long time in your mouth (if you can overcome the urge to chew it), and is utterly delicious. We've ordered over ten pounds of it so far, and I'm going to order the sugar-free chocolate fudge and cherry flavors in addition to black licorice next time. This product is awesome!

Both my husband and I just love this licorice. We usually limit ourselves to 3 pieces nightly as we are both on diets. I can't think of anything that isn't great about it. It is chewy, just the right amount of sweetness.

I buy these for my husband who loves licorice, but can't have sugar. He says they are great, and I have to remind him to take it easy on these. Only drawback is the same as for all sugar-free candy--they can have a laxative effect if eaten in excess.
