
Our carob chips from Oh! Nuts are favorites for not-too-sweet treats and as a favorite substitute for chocolate. Each of our certified-kosher carob chips is about 3/4 in. in size. Eat as is, or dice or grind to add to your favorite recipes in place of cocoa.
Naturally sweet and caffeine-free (although not as sweet as traditional chocolate chips), carob chips are a healthier choice for kids and grownups who can't have caffeine in large amounts or any amounts.

Carob contains less sugar and fat than chocolate. Fiber-rich carob chips are also high in vitamin B and the good-for-you minerals iron and calcium. You can store carob chips (or pods) for up to 12 months in sealed containers in a cool, dark place in your pantry.
Carob pods (or beans), from which our chips are made, are technically in the bean family, growing on trees in the legume family. The ripe pods are dried and ground into carob powder, which is used to make our carob chips.

We also carry dried carob pods available in an eight-oz. box or 22-lb. box. Like our carob chips, you can use dried carob pods to sweeten baked goods and drinks that would traditionally call for chocolate. Carob chips and pods are also popular anytime snacks.
