Candied Tasty Hibiscus Flower

  • Item Contains: Approx. 70-80pcs per LB
Certified Kosher Pareve under strict supervision of the OK laboratories. Certified Parve - Dairy Free
Dried hibiscus flower is used worldwide mainly as a tea, both hot and cold. In Trinidad and Tobago, for example, it's known as sorrel. In Latin America, it is flor de Jamaica, or Jamaica flower. Its tart taste is something like the cranberry, but more unique in its complexity. That's why it's often served with a lot of sugar. Hibiscus took off in the U.S. after Celestial Seasonings introduced its Red Zinger tea in 1972. Due to high antioxidant content in hibiscus, companies have added it as an ingredient to teas and sodas and sometimes as a substitute for red dye.

Dried hibiscus flowers are also edible, considered a delicacy in certain countries. Sometimes it is candied and used as a consumable garnish. However you'd like to use hibiscus flower, you can order in bulk from Oh! Nuts. You simply can't go wrong with this healthful, delicious item.

Product of Thailand.

Please note that there is a possibility of some broken pieces.

I just eat these raw, they are a great snack in between the meals. I helps reduce my stress at work. It also lowers blood pressure. I recommend it highly.

I just found out that Oh nuts is out of stock and its not surprising. These are a fantastic tasty snack and you can chop these up along with raisins, dates and nuts and add them to cereal, or to deserts as a topping. You can eat these in a trail mix. These are addictive and delicious. But believe me they are very healthy. I love these and only wish they had a local store that sold these. Wonderful food item!

I love these and didn't think I would. They remind me of gummy bears without the added sugars. They are really pretty, the whole flower is there as a piece. I chopped them for my trail mix but left them whole for snacking. I want to incorporate them into a dish cause they are awesome. I think kids would love them

I have been drinking hibiscus tea since I was a young girl, but I have never seen or tasted dried Hibiscus flower. When I came across these, I just had to try them. They are delicious, moist, chewy, tangy and full of flavor. I am almost done with the pack so I'll be ordering more soon.
Love these!

I used to get these from Trader Joe's until they were discontinued. So happy to find here. I love the tart/sweet combo. So much better than eating candy. They look otherworldly which is why I ordered them for a futuristic movie last year. Everyone loved them so it was a good thing I got 5 pounds because the actors, as well as several crew members, ate almost all of it! Got another bag recently and they were just as good.
Delicious natural treat!

I will simply embarrass myself with these and eat a whole bag if I am not careful. Tart and sweet like raspberries, a hint of gumminess from the drying, and good for you! Not to mention all the fun things you can do with them, like serve with pound cake and vanilla icecream or put one in a glass of champagne for a very fancy, yet tasty look. I want to brew a hibiscus meade soon.
so sweet and yummy
