As we were putting together our inventory, we couldn’t help but think of who came up with the idea of popcorn? Ready for some info? In our research we found that popcorn as we know and love it today made its debut around 1820 and was first called ‘pearls’ or ‘nonpareil.’ By 1848, the word “popcorn” was included in John Russell Bartlett’s Dictionary of Americanisms. It got its name from, you guessed it, the popping sound it made as it cooked. Over time, people starting experimenting with different sweet, salty and sour flavors to add to popcorn, resulting in the myriad of flavors available today.

Our popcorn is freshly popped and flavored exclusively in our facility and shipped to you promptly to ensure the freshest, crunchiest taste and texture. There are many uses for our popcorn — making welcome baskets, serving at birthday parties, gifting at the holidays to employees and co-workers and more. Want to pop your own popcorn at home and flavor with your unique spices? Grab a 1, 5 or 50 pound bag and get popping!
