2 Dried Guava

We have traditionally dried guava slices and popular natural dried guava slices, which are sliced and dried at peak freshness. This high-fiber fruit doesn't lose its nutrients when the water is removed to create our dried guava. Guavas are high in vitamins A,B and C, which makes this fruit a sweet alternative to nutrient-empty candies or cookies.

Sweet, Versatile Guava

About Dried Guava:

  • Are dried guavas healthy for you? Dried guavas have the water removed, but not the nutrients. Guavas are rich in fiber and in vitamins A, B and C.
  • Do dried guavas have added sugar? We have added small amounts of sugar to our dried guavas.
  • How and how long should you store dried guava? The USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) advises storing dried fruits such as guava in the pantry for up to six months. After opening, your dried fruit can be stored in the refrigerator for another six months or placed in the freezer for one month to ensure highest quality.
  • How do you soften/reconstitute/rehydrate dried guava? Rehydrating fruit for certain recipes simply means adding back in the water. The fastest way is to boil water. Then soak the fruit, covered with a paper towel or plastic wrap, for 10 to 15 minutes in a bowl containing the boiled water.
